A Mini Newborn Photoshoot | Snoqualmie Valley Newborn Photographer | Issaquah Newborn Photographer | Bellevue Newborn Photographer | Seattle Newborn Photographer

Almost three weeks ago my little family added another perfect baby to our crew.  He is the most incredible perfect little baby.  He's adorable, perhaps because he looks like me, he's cuddly, he only fusses when he's hungry, and he is absolutely adored by not only his big brother but also by his parents.  This may seem silly, but I love that he is "tiny".  Ok he's actually not tiny at all, he was almost 9 pounds when he was born, but compared to his brother he is tiny, at 3 weeks tomorrow he is still wearing newborn clothes which my oldest never did, even on day one.  He also has the most scrumptious head of hair.  Its dark and soft and there is tons of it and I just love to savor his hair!

I had a bit of an energy kick today, after all, I got 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep.  I think after going so long without a solid stretch of sleep, 5 hours feels like pure gold.  So while my family napped, I took my little bitty nugget and had a mini photoshoot.  I wanted to capture some of his newborn features that I hadn't photographed yet, and I also wanted to create a portrait similar to his brother's newborn portraits to display over our fireplace mantel on a canvas.  So here you have it, let me introduce my perfect little bundle.

I was flipping through some of the newborn pictures I have taken over the past couple of months.  I'm getting ready to have one of those little tiny babies myself, and I was looking for inspiration on what I want Baby W's newborn photos to look like.  When Carter was a newborn he was the perfect model, always sleepy and would let me put him in any pose I wanted.  My style has changed since I took his newborn pictures.  I prefer more organic photos now. capturing the baby in the pose they choose to be in, awake or asleep.  I love eye contact, both with the camera and with new parents.  Those are the photos that make my heart flutter.  I chose a few of my favorites to share as I was looking for my inspiration.  I can't wait to show you Baby W's photos in just a couple weeks!
